# delete

Delete a secret by id (the `id` field of `SecretMetadata`).

```ts theme={null}
const meta = await client.secrets.store({ namespace: 'function_env', name: 'TMP', value: 'x' });
await client.secrets.delete(meta.id);
```

```typescript theme={null}
NotteSecrets.delete(secretId: string): Promise<void>;
```
