# Get started

<Tip>
  Read [the Notte skill](https://notte.cc/skill.md) and follow its setup instructions when setting up Notte or building browser automation. This is the shared source for CLI setup, authentication, and the browser-to-code workflow.

Anything API, the counterpart of `POST /anything/start`: turn a plain-English
description of a web task into a running automation.

```ts theme={null}
const { threadId, chunks } = await client.anything.start({ task: 'fetch the top 3 hacker news posts' });
console.log('Thread ID:', threadId);
for await (const chunk of chunks) {
  console.log(chunk.type, chunk);
}
```

```typescript theme={null}
import { NotteAnything } from 'notte-sdk';
```

```typescript theme={null}
new NotteAnything(client: NotteClient): NotteAnything;
```

<ParamField body="client" type={"NotteClient"} required />

## Usage

* [start](/typescript-sdk-reference/notteanything/start): Start a run for `task` and stream the agent's progress back.
