# getRun

Get metadata for a specific function run.

```typescript theme={null}
NotteFunction.getRun(functionRunId: string): Promise<GetFunctionRunResponse>;
```

## Parameters

<ParamField body="functionRunId" type={"string"} required>
  ID of a run belonging to this function.
</ParamField>

## Returns

```typescript theme={null}
Promise<GetFunctionRunResponse>
```

The run's current status, logs, and result metadata. This does not wait for completion.

## Raises

* NotteAPIError if the run cannot be retrieved.

## Example

```typescript theme={null}
const run = await fn.getRun(result.function_run_id);
console.log(run.status, run.logs);
```
