# Vercel Eve

> Give an Eve agent an owned Notte browser tool.

<Tip>
  Read [the Notte skill](https://notte.cc/skill.md) and follow its setup instructions when setting up Notte or building browser automation. This is the shared source for CLI setup, authentication, and the browser-to-code workflow.
</Tip>

[Vercel Eve](https://eve.dev/docs/tools) discovers authored tools from your app's `agent/tools` directory. The [runnable TypeScript example](https://github.com/nottelabs/notte/tree/main/examples/eve) registers `read_page`, which reads a title through Playwright on Notte.

## Set up

Use Node.js 24+, a [Notte API key](https://console.notte.cc/apikeys), and your configured Eve model provider. Follow `examples/eve/README.md` to run the example or copy its tool into your app.

## How it connects

Each call creates a three-minute Notte session. The tool connects over CDP, reads the page, and stops its owned session in `finally`, including after navigation errors. CDP credentials stay in the app runtime; the model receives the title and session ID.

Native Eve compilation, real browser navigation, cancellation, and cleanup are tested. Paid model turns and hosted deployment remain unverified.
